Legal Procedures for Acquiring Property in Dubai

A formal SPA is drawn up by the seller or developer’s legal team. This agreement specifies the terms, conditions, payment schedule, and completion date.

If you’re buying in a development, you’ll need a NOC from the developer to proceed with the transfer of ownership. The NOC confirms that there are no outstanding dues on the property.

Once all contractual obligations are met, the buyer and seller sign the transfer of ownership documents. The Dubai Land Department facilitates the transfer and issues the new title deed in the buyer’s name.
